‘Fuchsia Challenge’

A young fuchsia
Once again, for members only, we have the ‘Fuchsia Challenge’. Hardy fuchsia plants will be available from LDGA in the spring. We would like you to grow them on and show them in class 29. A £1.00 contribution is required for the plant but entry to the class is free.


56th Summer Show

Opens at 2:00pm. Admission is free

We are pleased to be able to award the Banksian Medal for a second year. This will be presented to the exhibitor who scores most aggregate points in all classes at summer and autumn shows. As usual, for members only we have the ‘Fuchsia Challenge’. Running throughout the afternoon there will be a plant sale, refreshments and raffle. We are also hoping to welcome Clive from Days Bakery to give us a couple of bread making demonstrations.

Timetable

Staging 8:30am – 11:30am
Judging 12 noon onwards
Show opens 2:00pm
Bread making demos 2:30 and 3:30pm
Awards & Raffle 4:15pm – 4:30pm
Removal of exhibits 4:30pm – 4:45pm

How to enter – non-members welcome

First read the show rules and the showing instructions. Fill out the entry form, listing all the classes that you wish to enter and return it along with your entry fees to Paul Heydon, LDGA Show Secretary.

You never know you could be going home with the Newcomers Shield


Do you have children or grandchildren?

If they are of primary school age why not encourage them to enter our children’s classes for A decorated stone or an item made from popsicle sticks. The Merit Shield is awarded to the youngster with the most points in the children’s classes. Entry is free.

Raffle ticketsRaffle tickets will be on sale all afternoon with some great prizes up for grabs, only £1 a strip. Draw takes place at around 4.30pm

Plant Sale
