Allotments

Having an allotment provides benefits to physical and mental health as well as being a fun and sociable pastime.

Some of our allotments

  • practical growing workshops for adults
  • best kept allotment competition
  • a fun competition for plot holders eg best scarecrow
  • a plot to pot type event for all the family
  • a plant or seed swap
  • working parties to help fellow plot holders in times of need
  • community allotment plot(s)

LDGA Mini Plots

If for whatever reason you don’t want a standard full or half plot, LDGA have number of Mini Plots for rent at the Norton Allotment Site off Flint Road, Letchworth. Each one is approximately 25m² (16ftx16ft) and costs £20 a year.

They are offered to LDGA members only on a first come, first served basis. All plots receive good amounts of sunshine and have easy access to a water tap. If you would like to be part of our Mini Plot community, register your interest now by emailing allotments@ldga.org.uk or see us at the Trading Store.
